The new control-panel (version 4).

I did find out the hard way that metal isn't the material you want for building your control-panel. It is very hard to work with, you must always be extra carefull when drilling holes.
But version 4 turned out nice, with the right distance between the buttons. I painted it afterwards in the same color red as original control-panel.
