Introduction
It must have been the end of 1997, when I stumbled upon MAME, an emulator that allowed me to play the games I used to play in the arcade's, on my PC.

As many other people have, I did miss the original feelings that came upon you when playing the games in a real arcade cabinet, and thought of building my own MAME Cabinet.

For almost two years this was just a dream, as I didn't had the time and/or money and/or courage to build it.

But in 1999 I did! This page is dedicated to the building-process of my MAME Cabinet, which basically boils down to 2 episodes: July 1999 - early 2000 and April 2005 till now. Sometimes things will look strange now, but remember that some stuff was written before the Y2K bug was active :)

A big thank you goes out to John St.Clair for his Build Your Own Arcade Controls FAQ, that's where I got all the information I needed!
